Der Emmy ist der bedeutendste Fernsehpreis der USA. Er wird seit 1949 jährlich für die abgelaufene Fernsehsaison in mittlerweile 91 verschiedenen Kategorien vergeben. Die Emmy-Verleihung 2007 findet am 8. und 16. September 2007 statt.

In diesen Tagen kommen mehr gute Serien (amerikanische wohlgemerkt) als Top-Filme raus. Die eine oder andere solltet ihr euch mal anschauen, bevor sie in Deutschland ausgestrahlt werden. Optik, Anspruch, Schauspieler, Regie – größtenteils mit Prädikat wertvoll.

Kein Wunder das es um immer mehr Kohle geht. Branchenkrösus HBO lässt eine ROME Folge zum Beispiel fünf Millionen kosten oder ein James Gandolfini (Sopranos) verdiente pro Folge eine Million – NBCs Comedian Nr. 1 Jerry Seinfeld seinerzeit 5 Millionen. Nicolas Cage zum Beispiel bekommt für weitaus schlechtere Leistungen, die versehentlich in 90 Minuten festgehalten werden – satte 30-40 Milionen .

Die Emmys dienen mir schon seit einigen Jahren als Todoliste , ähnlich wie bei den Oscars. Check out!

Die Kamera Arbeit in HEROES ist exzellent – vom optischen her erinnert es mich an eine Mischung aus Prison Break und der Audi- Bilderwelt. Die Luftaufnahmen von NYC gehören zum besten was ich zuletzt so gesehen habe. Wer X-Men mochte, guckt auch HEROES.

ROME war aber auch gut. Irgendwas zwischen Gladiator und Braveheart – fands okay. Achtung: Es wird viel gefickt, außerdem kommen die wenigen Schlachtszenen locker an jeden Mel Gibson Film ran – von der Brutalität. In Sachen Detailverliebtheit und vielleicht auch Authenzität setzt ROME auf jeden Fall Maßstäbe.
